Supplier Code of Conduct

At H.V. Randall Foods we believe ethical behavior is a shared responsibility with our company and our business partners. This includes but is not limited to; suppliers, service providers, contractors, consultants and their associated employees, agents and/or subcontractors. This supplier code of conduct from H.V. Randall Foods, llc sets forth the ethical standards and principles that we expect from ourselves as well as our business partners.

H.V. Randall Foods, llc. Supplier Code of Conduct

1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to the sourcing, production, and distribution of products sold to Randall Foods. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Labor/Employment, including compliance to California S.B. 657
  • Environmental
  • Recordkeeping and Accountingv
  • Foreign Corrupt Practices
  • Immigration
  • Antitrust/Fair Competition

2. Animal Welfare: Suppliers must ensure that all animals involved in the production of meat products are treated humanely and in accordance with industry best practices. This includes providing appropriate living conditions, access to food and water, and veterinary care.

3. Food Safety and Quality: Suppliers must maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality in the production and handling of meat, ingredient and packaging products. This includes implementing and maintaining robust food safety management systems and adhering to relevant industry standards and guidelines. Randall Foods is dedicated to providing the highest-quality meats and packaged foods to our customers. Suppliers have a direct impact on our ability to meet this commitment and, therefore, must have in place policies and procedures to manage the safety and quality of products delivered to us. Randall Foods reserves the right to inspect supplier facilities and request documentation to verify that these systems are in place and are being fully implemented.

4. Labor Practices: Suppliers must uphold the rights and well-being of their employees and ensure fair and safe working conditions. This includes complying with all applicable labor laws, prohibiting forced labor and child labor, and respecting the rights of workers to freedom of association and collective bargaining.

5. Environmental Responsibility: Suppliers must minimize their environmental impact and strive to operate in an environmentally responsible manner. This includes reducing waste, conserving resources, and complying with environmental laws and regulations.

6. Business Ethics: Suppliers must conduct their business with integrity and in an ethical manner. This includes avoiding conflicts of interest, bribery, and corruption, and respecting the intellectual property rights of others.

7. Reporting and Compliance: Suppliers must establish mechanisms for monitoring and reporting compliance with this code of conduct. They must also cooperate with audits and assessments to verify compliance.

8. Continuous Improvement: Suppliers must continuously seek to improve their performance in relation to this code of conduct. This includes identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate corrective actions.

9. Non-Discrimination: Suppliers must not discriminate against any individual or group based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.

10. Communication: Suppliers must communicate this code of conduct to their employees, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders, and ensure that they understand and comply with its requirements.

Failure to comply with this code of conduct may result in the termination of the supplier relationship.
